Connect With Us at the Online Journal Club!

Learn, collaborate and discuss with your peers at our new online Journal Club!

Our first online Journal Club saw over 25 addiction medicine colleagues connect to discuss their thoughts, experiences, opinions and applications of the research reviewed.

“We were thrilled with the turnout of our first session! It is empowering to connect with colleagues from all across the country to discuss emerging research in our filed of work,” Journal Club Director Dr. Monty Ghosh said.

The March session of our online Journal Club will focus on the two articles below:

  1. Fluyau, D., Revadigar, N. and Pierre, C.G. (2021), Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis: Treatment of Substance Use Disorder in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder . Am J Addict, 30: 110-121.
  2. Dennis, B.B., Sanger, N., Bawor, M. et al. A call for consensus in defining efficacy in clinical trials for opioid addiction: combined results from a systematic review and qualitative study in patients receiving pharmacological assisted therapy for opioid use disorder. Trials 21, 30 (2020).

Please RSVP below to receive an email with the two articles to be discussed and the Zoom link to join the conversation!

It’s our hope that these sessions will raise awareness about emerging topics in addiction medicine and encourage connection, discussion and debate among colleagues across Canada. The Online Journal Club is open to anyone who is interested in or practicing addiction medicine, including those who are not members of CSAM-SMCA.
