Dr. Koivu is an Addiction Medicine Consultant for both London Health Sciences Centre and St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. She has practiced addiction medicine and palliative care in a number of settings over the past 20 years.
Dr. Koivu enjoys teaching, has been involved in research projects on infectious complications of injection drug use, and is committed to harm reduction and advocacy for meaningful change.
